Black Castle Chapter 2

Even though Brian and Johnny were so excited to go to the castle, the car ride was as dull as a turtle in a stock car race. All they basically did was sleep, eat, talk and stop for gas and food. When they were halfway there, it was 12 pm. Then suddenly, they got hit by something.
"Oh my god, what was that?" exclaimed Brian's sister.
"I have no idea," said his father.
Then his father slowly got out of the car and walked towards the front. There were claw marks the size of ten bears covered in blood on the hood of the car. There were no signs of animals anywhere, except for birds and bats.
"What happened," questioned Brian's mom.
"It looks like claws destroyed the whole front end!" replied Johnny.
"Well aren't you fast," joked Christine.
"That's enough fighting," Brian's mom friskly said.
"Does anyone have a cell phone?" asked his father.
"I do," exclaimed Brain, "who are you going to call?"
"The police!"
As soon as the police got there, the officer asked,
"What's the problem sir?"
"Something hit the hood of our car."
"Do you know what hit it," asked the officer.
"We have no idea!" exclaimed Brian.
"Well, is anything damaged?"
"No," said his father, "just the hood."
"Well, in that case, just drive 20 miles, there's a repair shop there."

After the car was repaired, they kept driving. When they got out of the city, the asphalt on the road was completely destroyed. There were car parts everywhere. There was red sheep wool all over the buildings and the used-to-be road. Then Brian said,
"Dang! What happened here?"
"Looks like a typhoon hit then came back for a second round," replied Johnny.
AFter they got over the used-to-be road, they were at the castle. It was as black as space with no stars, planets or moons. It had scary towers that looked like jagged fangs, covered in red blood dried over centuries.

Black Castle Chp 1 continued

As soon as Brian heard that, he darted straight up to his room and started packing. Then his father yelled, "Brian, you can also take a friend with you!" Brian was so hypter from the good news, he couldnt' think of what to do.

Two days have passed. Brian was taking his best friend, Johnny Turnbuckle. "Is everybody packed?", asked his mother. "Yes," everyone replied. "Well I was just making sure everyone was packed."

Chapter One

A thousand years have passed and everybody had forgotten about the Black Castle of Kayor.

2008, UK. As the schoolbell rings, the kids run out screaming, and the very last person to get out is Brian McClain. As he slowly walks towards his house on Royal Street, even though the other kids are screaming about the last day of school, Brian does not feel their enthusiasm. Brian does not like the last day of school, because for every summer vacation, his father takes them someplace he does not like. When he walks into his house, he walks by his sister, Christine, on the phone talking to "who cares." Then he slowly walks up to his room, which is designed with castles and swords (he likes the middle ages.) He falls to his bed, "I wish school would never end."
Then downstairs, he hears the door shut. "Brian, get down here! Help me with the groceries, Christine get off the phone." Brian now knows that his mom is home, and is not looking forward to his dad coming. When he goes downstairs, he hears Hunter, the dog, barking at the door. "Brian, let Hunter in," demands Christine. When he opens the door, Hunter shoots in like a rocket-propelled bullet. Then Brian hears the garage door opening. He just knows it's his dad. "Why couldn't it be another two hours or so," Brian moans. When he hears the garage door starting to shut, Brian bolts up to his room, gets his ipod and turns it to full volume so he doesn't hear his dad say anything.
Then when his bedroom door opens, his mom tells him to come downstairs. Brian thinks, "Please make this vacation more fun than the last one." More fun than staying in a one-star hotel in Germany, or better than flying to Disneyworld in a rundown airplane. Hopefully its not another cruise trip with people who speak different languages and not even 1% of English.
While everyone is sitting in the family room, Brian quietly joins them. Then his father begins to talk. "Everybody, guess where we're going." Christine says, "The airway to boredome?" "No," remarks his father, "we're going to a castle for summer vacation." "What!?," exclaims everybody. "Yep, we're all going to a castle and their is no charge. No one else is going to be there except us, the sky and the water. So start packing, we're leaving in two days."
